1. Introduction
GreenShift Studio OÜ, hereinafter referred to as “GSS” or the “Company”, cares about the user
(“you” or the user”) of the games (hereinafter referred to as the “Game”) and the user’s
privacy and privacy rights, and recognizes the importance of collecting and handling your
information with diligence and care.
The purpose of the present Privacy Policy is to provide you with details regarding how GSS
collects, stores and manages, when applicable, personal and non-personal information from you
during your use of the Game.
2. Information We Collect
When you download and use the Game, at or from third parties’ platforms (such as Google) or
otherwise, where our game might be referred to as an “application”, you allow GSS to access
certain information from your profile for that site. The information you allow GSS to access
and/or collect is affected by the privacy settings you may establish on such third party
platforms.
As an illustrative example and without limitation, GSS may access and store the following
information as allowed by you, any third party platforms and your preferences:
● Your first and last name;
● Your user ID number;
● The log-in email you may have provided to any third party platform from which you
may access the Game when you registered therein;
● Wallet information and other billing or financial information;
● Device identifiers;
● Correspondence between you and customer support; and
● Your physical location and that of the devices you use to access the Game.
By downloading the Game from a third party platform, you are also authorizing GSS to collect,
store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and when applicable, any and all
information that you agreed such a third party could provide to GSS.
GSS may also collect mobile device related information, including tablets, such as mobile device
identifiers (IP address). We may also create and assign an identifier to your device. We may also
collect the name you have associated with your device, device type, telephone number, country
and other information you choose to provide, such as user name, geo-location or e-mail address.
We may also access your contacts to enable you to invite friends to use the Game.
When you wish to collect virtual items obtained in the Game directly from GSS, we will collect
the wallet or otherwise financial information you may provide to process your charges, which
may include your postal and e-mail addresses.
When you ask for assistance or customer support, we will collect and store the information you
provide (generally, your name and email address), information about your game play or activity
on the Game, as well as your user ID number. We will also store such correspondence and any
information contained therein. GSS receives and stores information you may provide, including
telephone number or e-mail address, when you sign-up to receive notifications to either your
mobile phone or email. You can adjust the type of notifications you receive by editing the
notification settings on your device and/or in your Game account settings. With your consent,
we may also send push notifications to your mobile devices to provide information regarding
in-game events, updates or otherwise relevant information. You may manage such push
notifications from the Game notification settings.
When you access or play the Game we may collect certain technical information about your
device, including IP addresses and/or other mobile device ID information, as well as usage
statistics about your interactions with the Game. This information is typically collected through
the use of server log files, mobile device software development kits and tracking technologies, in
order to collect and analyze certain information. For more information regarding how we utilize
the aforementioned technologies, please review Section 3 of this Privacy Policy.
Any and all of the above mentioned information GSS may collect from you, store and/or manage
when applicable, as consented by you and in accordance to the present Privacy Policy will be
hereinafter referred to as the “Information”.
3. How We Collect The Information
We may collect the Information when you play the Game; GSS collects and stores certain
Information that you provide directly or through the third party that is offering the Game. GSS
may also collect Information about your game play, in order to provide a better user experience,
the bulk of which is collected and stored through the use of log files, which are files on our
servers that record actions taken on the Game.
4. How We Use The Information
In general, GSS collects, stores and uses your Information in order to provide you with a safe,
smooth, efficient and tailored experience in your use of the Game. In accordance to such aim of
enhancing user experience, GSS may use the Information for any and all of the following
purposes:
● To create your user account;
● To allow play;
● To provide technical support and respond to user inquiries;
● To prevent fraud or other potentially illegal activities;
● To deliver and target advertising;
● To notify users of in-game updates;
● To notify users of in-game events or actions;
● To request feedback from the user;
● To engage in commonly accepted practices.
A relevant use of the Information is for communication purposes. If the user has provided GSS
with their email address, the Company may use such address to respond to customer support
inquiries, as well as to keep them informed in relation to user in-game activity, notifications
relating in-game events (i.e., “your plant needs watering” or similar). We may also use the
Information for the purposes of providing you with promotional communications.
5. Sharing of the Information
GSS may share Information (which may include personal Information) with third parties when
such third parties perform services on GSS’s behalf, which may include without limitation email
delivery, payment processing, wallet-related services, marketing services and hosting services.
GSS directs all such third party providers to maintain the confidentiality of the Information
shared with them, and not to use such Information for any purposes other than the provision of
services on behalf of GSS as assigned to them by the Company.
We do not actively share your personal Information with any third party advertisers for their
own marketing purposes unless you previously provide us with your consent.
We may share “aggregated” Information (general collective Information about you and other
users, but never identifiable to you), anonymous information and certain technical information
(including device identifiers) to develop and target advertising in the Game and on the websites
of third parties. We may also allow advertisers to collect these types of information within the
Game to share with GSS, which may collect information through the use of tracking
technologies. The Information collected may be used to offer the user targeted advertising and
delivery, with the aim of offering such user behavioral advertising, this is, advertising that the
user may find appealing or interesting, as well as to undertake analytics to improve user
experience.
6. Safety, Security and Compliance With Law
The Information and the content of your potential online communications (including without
limitation communications, messages, device identifiers and personal information) may be
accessed and monitored as required to allow game play, and may be disclosed in the event GSS
has an objective good faith belief that the Company is required to disclose any Information in
accordance to legal processes (such as, without limitation, court order or warrants), in order to
comply with any applicable laws or regulations, and in the event the Company believes that the
Game is used in or in relation with the commission of a crime, including the reporting of such
criminal activity, or the exchange of Information with third parties and organizations for the
purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. GSS may also disclose the Information
when the Company has a good faith belief that there is an emergency that poses a threat to the
health and/or safety of the user, another person or the public in general. GSS may also use the
Information in order to protect the intellectual property rights or any other rights property of
the Company.
7. Methods of Accessing and Controlling the Information
In the event you no longer wish that GSS made active use of the Information, you may send an
e-mail to info@greenshiftstudio.com, with “Delete My Account” as the subject, and include
within the body of such email your first and last names, e-mail address and user ID number you
use on third party platforms to access and/or play the Game, if applicable. GSS will respond to
your request within 30 days. Please, be aware that certain Information or records, such as
information related to payments or customer service matters, will be retained further, in order
for GSS to comply with legal and accounting laws and regulations. If you wish to review or
change the Information GSS has about you, you can email us with such a request at the e-mail
address provided herein. You can turn off push notifications and other notifications by visiting
the Game notification settings.
8. Privacy Policies of Linked Sites and Advertisers
The Game may contain advertisements from companies other than GSS, which may link to third
party websites. GSS is not responsible for the practices (including without limitation privacy
policy practices) and content of such websites. If you have any questions regarding the Privacy
Policy or otherwise use of your information made by these websites, you should access and
review their respective policies and contact them directly.
9. Security of the Information
GSS understands and acknowledges the importance of keeping the Information secure and safe
and, for this purpose, the Company will make an objectively reasonable effort to protect the
Information and ensure its security, as well as the security of the Company’s systems.
Unfortunately, transmission of information over the Internet is not always completely secure,
which means that, despite GSS’s efforts, the Company cannot guarantee the security of the
Information while it is being transmitted to GSS. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once
GSS receives the Information, the Company is able to implement procedures and security
features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
